Signs It’s Time for Alcohol Treatment in Houston

Alcohol addiction, or alcohol use disorder (AUD), is a disease that impacts every part of daily life, from your or your loved one’s physical health to mental well-being and important relationships. However, there is nobody who is “too addicted” to achieve a healthy future, with recognizing signs and early intervention being crucial in long-term recovery and life satisfaction.

While each person will have their own experiences with AUD, there are some common symptoms to be aware of. These signs of alcohol addiction include:

Difficulty controlling alcohol consumption, such as drinking more often or being unable to stop
Neglecting responsibilities due to drinking or as a result of hangovers
Increase in secretive behavior, such as hiding drinks, locking doors, or having an inconsistent daily schedule
Withdrawal symptoms when not drinking
Continued use despite negative consequences, legal ramifications, or concerns from family members
Alcohol addiction is a disease that affects the entire family, and identifying addiction, its effects, and early intervention strategies can empower meaningful, transformative change.

What Our Customers Say

faq

AUD is a chronic disease defined by an inability to control drinking despite negative consequences. Those living with AUD can experience changes in behavior, mental health, and brain chemistry that make it difficult to stop drinking, even if they realize the need for change, often demanding professional help and personal support to overcome the disease.

Harmony Grove proudly provides IOP programs with evidence-based therapies like CBT, DBT, EMDR, and more. However, we can always personalize and adjust your treatment plan either during the admissions process or during your time with us to find the strategies that work best for you.

We combine evidence-based care, holistic healing, and a supportive community to create a truly transformational community in Houston. Personalized care, education, and integrated healing for co-occurring disorders also ensures that you can overcome your needs in tandem for effective change.

Yes, we offer integrated care to address both addiction and co-occurring mental health conditions. We also help you explore how alcohol use and mental health disorders are related and may continue to inform each other to get to the root of your needs in addiction healing.

It is never too late to take a step toward change. Call us at (713) 275-2006 or Contact Us to schedule a consultation and take the first step toward recovery. We are also available to help you understand the world of health insurance, assisting you as you talk to your insurance provider about health care and insurance coverage to help you begin your addiction treatment today.

While Harmony Grove is planning to expand to provide sober living options, these facilities are not yet available. However, we do still work closely with other sober living facilities, helping you transition between levels of care and explore your needs, whether in outpatient care with us or exploring other opportunities and levels of care across Houston.

The average outpatient program with us lasts 12 weeks, with multiple meetings per week. However, this can always be adjusted to fit your needs and goals, and you will never be left alone in your journey. Our programs typically last 12 weeks, with a total of nine hours of group therapy and two hours of other programming per week. However, we can always adjust your program to fit your needs in outpatient treatment.

We treat alcohol addiction, opioid addiction (including codeine), benzodiazepine addiction, cocaine addiction, and marijuana addiction.

The best way to approach any facility is to be open and honest about your own needs. Asking about specific amenities while explaining personal needs is the best way to determine if any facility is the right fit, and if they offer multiple options to address your needs and goals in treatment. Each facility is a little different, and making these questions as personal as possible can help you decide where you will make the most of your healing.

Addiction is a disease, and most major insurance providers will cover at least some of the cost. However, how much is covered will depend on your unique plan. We also currently offer private pay options and payment plans to help manage the cost of our treatment program.

We do not provide medical detox as part of our program. However, we are still a resource to help you find the detox facility that can help you or your loved one. We can also help you or your family navigate transitioning between levels of care, moving from detox or residential care to one of our outpatient programs, so there are never any gaps in support in your journey.

We offer both a less intensive outpatient program as well as ongoing aftercare and alumni support, so you are never left without a supportive community or professional at any point in your journey.
