How Our Addiction Treatment Program Stands Out

We offer a foundation of clinical excellence and a holistic approach founded on evidence-based practices, effective case management, and individualized treatment plans. We also take pride in being a resource for you and your family at every stage of recovery. We can also support you as you transition from sober living to dedicated outpatient care, continuing to develop strategies for sober success.

FAQs About Addiction Treatment

Addiction is a disease, and as a result, most major insurance providers will cover at least part of addiction treatment. However, exactly how much is covered will vary depending on your unique healthcare insurance plan. Talking to our admissions team to navigate the world of insurance is crucial before committing to any program, and we are prepared to work with you so there are no surprises when it comes to any financial responsibilities.

There is no one, single approach to addiction recovery that is guaranteed to work, and each person’s journey will be unique. However, effective treatment involves a combination of strategies, blending proven, evidence-based treatment like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) with personalized, holistic healing options. Individual and group therapy, backed by a focus on coping skills, nutrition, education, exercise, and challenging self-destructive beliefs, is all part of creating a truly transformed sober future.

Your journey overcoming addictive substances will be unique, and each journey consists of multiple stages. Harmony Grove’s intensive outpatient program focuses on this continued healing journey, providing a step down from other levels of care, such as detox and residential treatment. These outpatient programs can also last as long as necessary as you build the skills to maintain your hard-earned sobriety in daily life.

However, graduating from Harmony Grove’s outpatient care does not mark the end of your journey. Rather, we offer extensive aftercare planning, alumni events, and more to help you continue to manage and excel in your sober life. Addiction recovery is a journey that is never truly “complete,” but rather a constant journey for change, betterment, and overall mental, physical, and emotional wellness.

There is no “safe” level of substance use. However, when the use of substances begins to feel like a necessary part of daily life, or is used as a coping strategy to navigate persistent feelings of anxiety, depression, or any form of stress, then it is important to look at this relationship critically.

Likewise, if a person experiences urges, cravings, or withdrawal symptoms when attempting to decrease or stop the use of substances on their own, professional help may be necessary to navigate these challenges to ensure a safe start to sobriety.

Addiction treatment is about much more than addressing isolated symptoms of addiction. Rather, it is a holistic approach to transformative change. In addiction treatment, you will be challenged to confront not just the symptoms of addiction and learn the skills to overcome them, but also focus on emotional healing, personal goals, life skills, and develop strategies to navigate the lasting effects of addiction on your personal life, professional life, and family.

No part of healing is easy. Having the right support and community is crucial. Throughout addiction treatment, you will also be introduced to others who share in your sober commitment to challenge stigmas and create a truly transformed life. It will be crucial to make changes to daily life, and even social groups and daily routines, but there are always new therapies and methods to explore in this comprehensive approach to effective addiction treatment.

Absolutely! Addiction is a powerful disease, but there is nobody who is “too addicted” that they cannot achieve a fulfilling life of sobriety. Even if past attempts at sobriety have been unsuccessful, that does not mean that a person is beyond healing. However, it also takes hard work to overcome addiction and maintain this sober life, with professional support, sober communities, and an educated support system all being essential parts of this healing journey.

Supporting a loved one means learning more about addiction as a disease, challenging enabling behaviors and replacing them with supportive actions, setting clear and effective boundaries, and developing new communication skills to work with a loved one throughout this journey.

Providing transportation to sober events and treatment, helping to manage finances, and developing changes, routines, and responsibilities at home are all great ways to support a loved one in addiction treatment. Likewise, learning about triggers and focusing on self-care is crucial. Addiction can come with many feelings of resentment, blame, and guilt, and it is common for family members to need their own support. Family therapy programs, as well as support groups for families of those affected by addiction, can all be great ways of supporting a loved one while focusing on personal needs.

Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is an option available to address some symptoms and challenges of the recovery journey. However, it is not a “fix” for addiction, nor is it necessarily for everyone. While some may use medications to address specific needs in recovery while building the skills in a sober life, others will not. Talking to a professional about your needs and expectations surrounding medication as a part of recovery is crucial before starting any medication during this time.
